Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, announced, the diploma amnesty program for Jakarta residents will be implemented in stages. This is due to the complexity of data and processes involving many parties, including individuals, schools, and administrative data.

"So, regarding the diploma that has been legalized, it really can't be completed in one period. Just like when I made decisions related to Jakarta Smart Card," he expressed, at Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (4/28).

He explained the diploma legalization program is different from the KJP program, which can be distributed immediately after a decision is made. Diploma legalization requires data verification and coordination with various parties, thus taking a longer time.

"This diploma whitening concerns data, involves people, schools, etc. The resolution will definitely be gradual," he expressed.

The first stage of diploma whitening has been completed with a budget by Rp 500 million. Meanwhile, the second stage of diploma submission will take place on May 2 after the Education Day celebration.

Despite it requires several stages of submission, he emphasizes his commitment to completing the degree certification program thoroughly. Because a diploma is a serious issue that must be resolved to facilitate the community in finding jobs and continuing education.

"For me, the issue of diplomas is a serious problem faced by the residents. If not assisted and redeemed by the Jakarta Government, they won't be taken," he stated.
